French Japy Freres Massive Victorian Mantle, Circa 1875, 5″ concave incised marble dial, 8-day, circular brass spring driven movement, ormolu mounted Belgian black marble, at one time this clock had a large bronze statue sitting on top, good condition, with minor losses to marble, movement needs cleaning. Caldwell & Co., Philadelphia”, 8-day, circular brass movement, well executed French bronze mantle clock with hand painted cobalt blue neoclassical scrollwork tile inserts with illegible signature on rear, a very handsome & well made clock, suitable for a formal setting, small tile on clock top cracked, otherwise excellent condition with good patina. Height 14 1/2″.
