American Chelsea Clock Co., Boston Banjo Wall Timepiece, Circa 1920, 8″ repainted dial, 8-day, brass weight driven movement serial # 9x,xxx, a very pretty clock, Boston Tea Party painted on glass, a good collectors item, original glass panels with some retouching & small 1/2 crack in corner of throat glass, dial is a well done replacement & case refinished. Height 34 1/2″.

Chelsea Spring Driven Banjo Clock. 5.5 in. painted metal dial signed ÂChelsea Clock Co., Boston, U.S.A.Â, has incised black hour numbers; brass 8 day spring driven movement signed ÂChelsea Clock Co., Boston, U.S.A.Â, numbered 167140, has a lever escapement, rack & snail strike on a coiled gong. In a mahogany banjo style case with gilt brass eagle finial, brass door bezel, pierced brass side arms, presentation lower bracket with fluted carving, turned spherical mounts and acorn teardrop finial; reverse painted throat glass with gilt filigree, reverse painted tablet view of the Mt. Vernon estate. In good condition, running and striking, original finish. 32 in. high x 8 in. wide x 3 in. deep.

Howard Banjo #5 wall clock, Boston Clock Company made very few banjo clocks, a good clock for intermediate & advanced collectors, good restored condition. Height 20 1/2″.
