Â Pesten; quality brass 3 weight driven movement has deadbeat escapement and grand Sonnerie strike on 2 coiled gongs; has 3 brass weights, brass pulleys and large gridiron pendulum. In a rosewood case with pierced carved crest, carved corbels on the corners on the door and an inlaid back panel. In very good condition, clock in running and striking, in good original finish. 65 in. high x 17 in. wide x 8 in. deep.

Gibel, Wien; brass weight driven 8 day time only movement with single brass covered weight, brass covered pendulum bob and ebonized wood stick. In a small size serpentine pierced carved walnut case with fancy crest and side carvings, turned finial and teardrop finial on the lower bracket, highlighted with a rosewood back board, lower bracket and rosewood grained sides; case is refinished, in good condition. 36 in. high x 14.5 in. wide x 5 in. deep.

Rosewood Biedermeier Vienna Regulator. 7 in. inset porcelain dial has black Roman hour numerals, fancy hands and gilt brass piecrust bezel; brass weight driven movement with spring driven grande sonnerie strike on 2 coiled gongs, movement runs 56 hours and is signed on the gong bracket ÂM. Miller & Son, In WienÂ, circa 1865. In a rosewood Vienna regulator case with serpentine top, chamfered corners on the door with carved corner mounts, pierced brass mounts on the front and on the bracket. Case is refinished, missing crest and pendent corner mounts at the top and bottom of the door frame and also the teardrop finial. 37 in. high x 12.5 in. wide x 5.5 in. deep.

Inlaid Rosewood Vienna Regulator. 9.5 in. inset porcelain dial has black Roman hour numerals on the chapter ring, sub seconds dial in the inset center, pierced & blued hands, brass bezel and dial signed ÂJacob Weber, In WeinÂ. Brass, 8 day time only weight driven movement has dead-beat escapement, maintaining power, long pendulum with ebonized wood stick, large brass covered bob and quality weight and pulley. In a beautiful rosewood case with pierced carved floral and filigree crest and corner finials, brass & mother of pearl inlays on the frieze and door columns with standing figural armored soldiers at the tops of the columns; the backboard of the case is heavily inlaid with figures, fruit, branches, filigree and borders using brass, mother of pearl, select woods and ivory, in excellent condition and original finish. the finest example we have seen. 73 in. high x 21 in. wide x 10 in. deep.

Endler, in Prag has 2 sub dials measuring 4 in. dia., the upper mean time sub dial has 24 hour numbers and chapter ring with 60 minute markers, the upper dial has a sub seconds dial inside with nice pierced hour and minute hands and reads ÂMorgem Abend, Wahre Mittlere Sonenzeit, MitternachtÂ; the lower sidereal time 24 hour sub dial has 60 minute markers, inner ring with zodiac names and symbols, singed ÂSterne ZeitÂ, dial has a gilt brass piecrust bezel. Brass single weight driven time only 30 day movement with long ebonized wood pendulum stick, brass covered bob, pierced brass 5 spoke pulley and brass covered weight. In a rosewood case with arched top, carved corners on the door and carved lower bracket. Has an enhanced original finish, 2 spider hairlines in the dial. Mean time or Âsolar time is based on the earthÂs rotation of 360 degrees lasting 24 hours; Sidereal time, meaning ÂStar TimeÂ, is based on the earthÂs rotation around the sun in which it includes the 360 degree rotation of the earth plus about 1 degree more to compensate for the EarthÂs orbit around the sun.
